Nirvasa Emerges as India's Premier Digital Healthcare Clinic

Like a speck of pixie dust that lands on and magically evolves everything it touches, digitalization impacted everything in the present time, even the healthcare sector, and the way we seek and receive treatment is revolutionized forever! Only a few years back, whether one needed a sore spot looked at or a mental health issue which needed resolving, it translated to hours of commute, waiting in a crowded waiting room, spending more money than one needed to, and spending the precious bit of energy that you probably have, given your health. Even when you do make it to the doctor’s office, your visit is closely timed and chances are that your privacy and discretion are compromised. But with digital evolution, digital healthcare is soon paving its way through our country, and the result is overwhelmingly positive.

The year 2020 witnessed significant advancements in the healthcare space, with increased scrutiny and attention given to this field. In response, healthtech startups that leveraged technology and data emerged, targeting lifestyle diseases, diabetes, hypertension, and mental health issues.

Women and healthcare: An ageless relationship strengthened by digital health

Considering that women and healthcare have a relationship as old as humankind, you would think there wouldn’t be such huge healthcare utilization disparities across India. It’s almost comically ironic how with women deserving priority as mothers, homemakers, and more, ensuring women have access to quality care is a challenge. With women’s health often being synonymous with reproductive health, a broader focus on the general health of women is required and prioritization should be necessitated simply because women have always stood strong as the silent pillars of a family’s overall health.

Nirvasa's Digital Healthcare Offerings: Searing through Delivery Barriers and Social Stigma

New Delhi, Delhi, India (NewsVoir) Healthcare and regular people always had a drift that seemed unbridgeable. While the relationship between the two was meant to be close due to its "trader and the trade" nature, the truth remains that healthcare is still unattainable and aspirational for a huge part of society. But it's just in recent years that both healthcare and diseases have gone through their own transformative journeys. In terms of wellness issues, we are seeing a tremendous increase in lifestyle and body weight-related issues, especially in the post-COVID era. People were for the first time in a long time restricted to their homes, and ergonometric chairs were swapped with couches, catching that morning metro was swapped with a lazy stroll to the fridge, and our bodies told the stories of these transitions. We saw many harrowing health problems such as blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes, along with an increase in the risk of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, depression, gastrointestinal problems, and asthma. While diseases were more lifestyle-related, there was a need for a healthcare system that stepped up and became easy, discreet, and most importantly- digital! In a healthcare system that was more remedial in nature,

New Union Budget boosts medical education, and startups in India

We welcome the pragmatic and growth oriented budget presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Truly, the Union Budget embodies the vision of Amrit Kaal. The government’s allocation of Rs 7,200 crore for Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest government-funded health assurance scheme is 12% higher than the Rs 6,412 crore, budgeted in the last fiscal, which is indeed a great move. This fund infusion will catapult the delivery of a comprehensive range of services spanning preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care across the country. One of the most important announcement has been regarding the prioritisation of medical education, in addition to the promotion of research in the pharma sector. For instance, the government has proposed to set up 157 new nursing colleges to improve the existing nurse-patient ratio, and has also committed to create a program directed at eliminating sickle cell anaemia by 2047.
